TOURIST VISA
TOURIST VISAS ARE REQUIRED FROM FOREIGN
CITIZENS ENTERING BRAZIL:
- on tourism;
- to visit family;
- to participate in sports competitions as amateurs, provided that admission to such activities is free of charge and that no prize money is awarded;
- to attend conferences or congresses of professional interest, provided that this participation is not remunerated.
VISA EXEMPTION:
Citizens of the countries listed below do not need a visa to visit Brazil as tourists for stays up to 90 days:

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Tourist visas are required from citizens of all countries not listed above. Applicants must comply with the minimum documentation requirements as stated below:
A. Passport valid for at least six months prior to its expiration date;
B. One passport size photograph, front view, white background;
C. One application form, filled in at https://scedv.serpro.gov.br and signed by the applicant (for the letters Æ, Ø and Å, please fill in with AE, OE and AA, accordingly) In the case of minors, both parents or legal guardians shall sign the application form).
D. Round trip air ticket reservation with passenger’s name. Itinerary must show dates and cities of entry and departure in Brazil;
E. Proof of financial means of subsistence (bank statements, pay slips, credit cards) and resident status in Norway or Iceland. Non-residents in Norway or Iceland must apply for a tourist visa at this Embassy in person;
F. Letter confirming the participation in sports competitions as amateurs or in conferences of professional interest, if this is the case.
G. Receipt of consular fee payment.
PLEASE NOTE THAT:
Applicants without a permanent residency permit in Norway or Iceland must apply for a visa in person.
Duration of stay in Brazil is 90 days. An extension for another 90 days can be applied for at any Department of Federal Police precinct in Brazil, before the visa expires. The maximum duration of stay in Brazil for a tourist visa holder is 180 days per year, regardless of the visa duration.
IMPORTANT: do not commit yourself to travel plans until you know when your visa will be issued.
PROCESSING TIME
Upon arrival of complete documentation at the Embassy, please allow a minimum of ten (10) working days for the issuance of the visa.

ATTENTION: A visa is not a right to enter, but an expectation to be admitted. The examining officer at the Brazilian Port-of-Entry has the final authority to decide on your admissibility and the length of stay in the country.
