Business Visa

A business visa serves a different purpose from a work visa. A business visa will be issued to someone who travels to Brazil to meet business partners, visit clients, participate in fairs, sign commercial contracts, prospect markets and like activities. It does not include earning remuneration from a source in Brazil; sale or services to retail customers; labour to a Brazilian employer.

IMPORTANT: Applicants travelling to Brazil to provide technical assistance, install equipment or provide consulting services or training activities of any kind DO NOT qualify for a business visa. They must apply instead for work/technical assistance visa.

BUSINESS VISA EXEMPTION

Norwegians and Icelandic citizens are exempt from short-term (90 day) visas for business purposes.  Always bring along a letter from your company stating the purpose of your trip.

Long-term business visas may only be requested by citizens of Australia, Canada, China, India, Mexico, and the United States. However, each stay may not be longer than 90 days.
