VITEM III - Artists and Sportsmen

Temporary Visas Type III (VITEM III) are issued to sportsmen and artists travelling to Brazil to work in shows or participate in competitions as professionals remunerated by a source in Brazil.

The visa application and the pertinent documentation must be lodged firstly with the Brazilian Ministry of Labour. See the requirements to apply for a VITEM-III at the Ministry of Labour and Employment in the Ministry's website at

Once Brazilian authorities authorize the Embassy to issue a temporary visa VITEM-III, the beneficiary must collect the visa within 180 days. The documents below must then be submitted to the Embassy.

DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS TO RETRIEVE THE VISA:

A. Passport valid for a minimum of six months.
B. One application form duly filled in and signed by the applicant or by parents or legal representatives if the applicant is a minor.
C. One passport size photograph, front view, white background.
D. For applicants younger than 18 years old who are travelling alone: a notarised letter of consent signed by father and mother or guardian (proof of guardianship required). If travelling with one parent only, notarised letter of consent of the non-accompanying parent is required.

PLEASE NOTE THAT:
Artists or athletes travelling to Brazil to participate in non-remunerated (premiums excepted) sports competitions and artistic contests may apply for a Tourist Visa.
In addition to the compliance with requirements for a Tourist Visa, the applicant must present directly to the Embassy a letter from the sponsoring party in Brazil stating the nature of the event. Citizens of some countries, including Norway and Iceland, are exempt from Tourist Visa.

Visas are valid for arrival in Brazil within 90 days from the date of issuance.

Maximum duration of the VITEM-III visa is 90 days.

Extensions can be applied for at the Department of Federal Police, in Brazil, before the visa expires. 


CONSULAR FEES:

NOK 320 

For stays up to 90 days, free of charge for all kind of visas for nationals of Norway. 

USA citizens are subject to an additional processing fee of NOK 1040, on a reciprocity basis.

All applications not submitted by the passport holder in person are subject to a handling fee of NOK 80 in addition to any other applicable fee. 


METHODS OF PAYMENT
All fees must be paid by bank transfer (account number 70320519126, DnB NOR Bank) or with debit card, if in person. Bank transfers from abroad: IBAN NO70 7032 0519 126, SWIFT: DNBANOKKXXX.
Please make sure that all taxes are included, so that the amount credited to our account corresponds exactly to the consular fee.
NOTE: The name of petitioner and the nature of the services to be rendered shall be specified in the payment sheet.

POST
For applications sent by post, please attach the consular fee payment receipt and a self-addressed pre-paid envelope (registered letters).
The Embassy cannot be held responsible for lost or delayed mail.

PROCESSING TIME
Upon arrival of complete documentation at the Embassy, please allow a minimum of ten (10) working days for the issuance of the visa.
